Subject: Good show
I agree that Mr. Charlie and the mandolin Eleven were the highlights, but this show is not as strong as many of the previous nights. I've been catching as many of these mid-week shows as I can. What fun!

Check out the first set of the 3rd (great Brown Eyed Women, very primal Minglewood). The second set on the 7th was great (Shakedown, etc). I really loved the first set of the 1st with Here Comes Sunshine and Til the Mornin Comes. You can tell they were making themselves happy.

Thanks tapers for adding to the archive. You've given us a real treat.

With tickets & $55 I hope you get a good show these days. Well, yup it certainly sounds this way. What a high quality recording. Good work. The sound is maybe just a little bit lost in the size of the hall, but this is not a criticism. Jackie Green is really coming into his voice. I have followed Phils tour from home through the grace of kind tapers. Thanks again! As the summer has gone on his ability to dictate the soul of the song over the sweeping sound of instruments has just gotten better with each show. Phils sound has remained largely unchanged in the past few years. A big tonal sound the is colorful and mellow. Cheery keys with smokin drop ins from guitar with a tearing metal edge to them. Phil is providing the backbone as he does at his best and with good health he brings in the sophisticated sound he has yearned for his whole career. The jamboree is joyful as i always hope it can be. The darkness just isn't in the these eyes. Elemental dead with a coursing meandering sound. Jackie adds the Sorrow and spunk that makes me wish & want a great 80s show with Brent. Jackie is the voice that could take the ship back out through the seven seas.

songs of the night: Charlie & The Eleven
